Outcome Oriented Bill Gates

      According to Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary (2015), outcome refers to the effect or result of an event or an action while oriented refers to direct somebody or something towards something beside to make or  adapt somebody or something for a particular purpose. Based on The Workplace (2015), outcome oriented same meaning with result- oriented while according to 12 Manage The Executive Fast Track (2015), a outcome – oriented leader can achieve maximum result based on clear and measurable agreement made previously. Hence, the employees can understand the goal clearly and achieve in short periods. 

      Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1995. Bill Gates family is having political, community service and rich business background. He believed in achieving his goals through hard work and an intelligent person will use their intelligence. Thus, they can achieve goal easily. When he was young, he was ambitious, aggressive, competitive intelligent and outcome oriented.  Bill Gate’s learnt computers when he was in primary school. He and Allen (best friend)  formed “Programmers Group” in late 1968. They found a new way to apply their computer skill in Washington University and ISI (Information Sciences Inc.) agreed to give them royalties, whenever it made money from any of the group’s programmers. As a result, the business deal signed with Information Sciences Inc.

      They formed a new company and developed a small computer to measure traffic flow, but they end the business after leaving school. He decided enrolled courses, which is Harvard’s toughest mathematics courses. He did well over there but he had no interest. They start discuss new ideas for future projects and starting a business within a year. After he has dropped out from Harvard, they formed Microsoft. Its vision is “A computer on every desk and Microsoft software on every computer”. He need the outcome in his future and work hard for it. He continue challenge the others company until Microsoft succeed. In 1980s, he and Allen introduced the PC operating system software, Microsoft Windows, which was obscure and not widely used. They also produced various word processors, spread sheets, and other office software. 

     By the mid-1990s, Microsoft’s products became most widely used in the industry by leader. Most of the personal computers run Microsoft software, which were Microsoft Windows operating system and the Microsoft Word processing software. This excellent outcome came up with higher profit. This prove that he won in the technology competition in the industry. He hopes he can always catch on to the next big thing. He made adjustments for structure and software in order to establish themselves as a major player in these industry with the Microsoft Network and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. Besides, Bill Gates passionate in creating a new amazing programmers. They were wizard at technology, writing computer code, programming. He ignored the outsider’s critics and only focused on customer’s demands. He always buys research and software from other companies or entire companies. He allowed Microsoft to use lots of money for investing in research and development but he thought  it is the most valuable asset of Microsoft and it pays off great returns.



     He knows the techniques to lead, communicate, organize, and make decision for employees. He always desire to hire the right people who can work with passion and not just concerned with getting by. He always ensure employees will concern with the actual results. That’s way Microsoft would produce and get the good result.

      He experts in simplifying structure of organization and communication. He always emphasizes the requirement for achieving the goals and has virtually eliminated the use of paper in Microsoft’s day-to-day functions with utilizing email. He always adapt the environmental changes with predicting exercises foresight even not always be accurate in producing the right products. He always at the right place at right time and assesses risk-reward ratios. He cares about the customer and about his products. He tests software on customers before launching and encourages customer feedback on his products. As a result, we learn that a leader not only has to be smart but he has to know how to adapt himself in the hard situation while trying to find out the solution for better outcome.
